Mommy you will be missed!
Tomorrow April 25th would have been my mom's 82nd birthday...So I thought it might be nice to make her one last page....there are many of her on he previous pages....
My brother Joey ,his son Brendon, his girlfriend Trisha and I just returned from a trip to Sacramento for a week to clean and prepare my parents house for sale.It was quite a daunting task and still some to do. I was so proud of my brother for his diligence and strenuous hard work....and I've definitly found a sister in Trisha...what a doll and my nephew you barely heard a peep of complaint ...what a sweet young man. It would be so easy to share all the trials we went through and there were many but I feel so blessed to be able to see the Lord in the midst of it all...we had to sort ,clean and start an estate sale the day after we arrived...wow was that interesting but the Lord brought in the neighbors for this sale...and oh howw he used the neighbors to help in so many ways from housing us to feeding us even to taking me to the airport...they helped us to pack to take things away etc...what a blessing they are...in turn we were able to entrust them with some of my parents possesions which blessed us so much that they weren't just going to anyone. They told us fun stories and how my mom blessed them every Christmas with gifts and Greek cookies which caused one gal to start doing that also...love that ! as we went through our parents things we reminisced and cried ,lughed at report card comments etc.,and found surprises that we didn't know. One of those lovely surprises was that my mom had taken an art correspondence class ,where she was critiqued over many months and sounded as if she had great promise...Her father was a beautiful painter and she had always loved to draw. But ,like life does she chose work and a raise a family over that dream....As children we don't always appreciate the sacrificesour parents make .Some children have to make up nice warm fuzzy stories about their moms to help them cope with there loss ...I am so fortunate that the the Lord let me see the treasure in my mom when I came to know Him...something I could have missed had He not shown me many years ago.. she was sacrificial, thoughtful ,loving ,funand very supportive..something I hope someday that will be what my legacy is to others with the Lord's help. Happy Mother's Day in a few days to all you moms .I pray your children see the great treasure that God has deposited in you before our time here has ended .Hugs Rosie
My dad was with my mom till the day she went to be with the Lord....that too I pray can be my legacy till death do us part....
